2. The rally here in Austin talked a lot about how it’s not just a Jena issue as well. We’ve had far too many police shootings of black and brown people here. And this town prides itself on *not* being like the rest of the south.

3. The last I heard about the noose incident at Columbia, Columbia had finally decided to turn over their security tapes. But I don’t know if they figured out who did it.

4. In the corporation where I work, I had a “free the Jena Six” sign on my door on September 20th. When I came back from the rally, somebody had taken it off and thrown it in the trash. People are so fucked up when they know nobody’s watching.
