Think of it as an antidote to jingoistic propoganda masquerading as grief and remembrance that we’ll be bombarded with today.

    I’ve never seen/heard her read this, although I got in passed to me via email right after September 11. I think her first version was a little tighter, and should go down as one of the great political poems of this new century. thanks for putting it up.
